In June 2014, 8 brave celebrities came to a brand new location, Nant Gwrtheyrn on the North Wales coast, to learn and practise their Welsh. They included Sam Evans from Llanelli, winner of Big Brother 2013; Neville Southall from Llandeilo, the legendary goalkeeper; John Owen Jones from Burry Port, music theatre performer; Behnaz Akhgar, weather presenter, BBC Wales; Ian ‘H’ Watkins of Deganwy, member of the group Steps; Suzanne Packer, actress; Sian Reeves, actress; and Jenna Jonathan from Tonyrefail, formerly of MTV’s The Valleys.
