S4C’s flagship homes and interiors series 04Wal celebrated its tenth anniversary in March 2010. 04Wal presenter Aled Samuel has visited some of the most interesting and exciting homes in Wales, along with the homes of ex-pats living across the UK, Europe and further afield. The series widened its focus in 2010, and looked at different hotels from a design perspective as design expert Leah Hughes joined Aled in twelve-part spin-off, 04Wal: Gwestai’r Byd (04Wal: Hotels of the World). A further spin-off to the series was coffee table book, “Cartrefi Cymreig” (“Welsh Homes”) by Dr Greg Stevenson and Gwenda Griffith, a tribute to the houses seen both in 04Wal and Y Tŷ Cymreig (“The Welsh House” – an architectural series produced for S4C).
