Horses have long been an essential part of life in Wales – for breeders, racers and blacksmiths. Presented by David Oliver and Brychan Llŷr, Ceffylau Cymru looks at the special relationship between human and horse.
The first episode follows the Menai Stud, a well-known, family-run pony and cob stud in West Wales. Over 6 months, we look at the highs of their many successes at the Royal Welsh Show and capture farm life as they prepare horses for big shows, break them in to ride, compete at Birmingham’s Horse of the Year Show and sell their stock.
