Boom Cymru’s Copa – Patagonia Eric Jones ac Ioan Doyle has won the Calon Antur Cymraeg award at Llanberis Mountain Film Festival 2016.
Copa, broadcast on S4C, celebrates the friendship of two men, two countries and one journey – a testament to the fascinating life of world-renowned climber Eric Jones. The programme coincided with the 150th anniversary celebrations of Y Wladfa, the Welsh settlement in Patagonia.
LLAMFF aims to support mountain rescue, promote participation in all outdoor sports regardless of age, race, physical ability, disability or gender and offer a platform for up and coming filmmakers and create a grant fund for filmmakers and adventurers.
This year LLAMFF funded a grant for young adventurers in Wales and raised money for Llanberis Mountain Rescue and Climber Against Cancer.
