The Euros are in full swing and Codi Gôl, our brand new series, is airing weekly. You can catch the next episode this Sunday, 19th June, at 8pm.
The parents from four junior football clubs – Amlwch, Pwllheli, Ammanford and Ffostrasol – have formed their own sides managed by former international players John Hartson, Malcolm Allen, Owain Tudur Jones and Iwan Robert. Their goal? To play their way to the final against Dinard FC in Brittany, managed by former French international player Robert Rico. Meanwhile, the kids have set up committees to keep a close eye on their mums and dads as they are put through their paces.
After their victory at the play offs in Latham Park last week, the Amlwch team and manager Owain look forward to travelling to Dinard, which has been home to the Welsh team during the Euros. How will they feel when they come face to face with their opponents? Expect a last-minute passport dash and a few French lessons…
