Tag, S4C’s flagship magazine series for young people, is celebrating 200 programmes on Friday, 25th November 2016.
Owain Williams and Mari Lovgreen present Tag, which is broadcast every Tuesday (5.25pm) and Friday (5.00pm) on Stwnsh, S4C’s service for children and young people, and is produced by production company Boom Plant.
Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens and Welsh band Swnami will be in the studio to celebrate the milestone on the 25th November at 5.00pm.
Also, Owain, Mari and the crew will look back at the best bits from the 200 programmes and there’ll be a unique opportunity for viewers to see what goes on behind the scenes on Tag.
Among the stars to appear on the series over the years are international footballers Ben Davies and Joe Allen, Gotham actress Erin Richards, Olympic and Paralympic athletes Owain Doull and Aled Siôn Davies, actors Ioan Gruffudd, Iwan Rheon and Matthew Rhys, Wales football assistant manager Osian Roberts and The One Show presenter Alex Jones.
On the red carpet, Owain has met some of Hollywood’s biggest stars – including Will Ferrell, George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Jack Black, Keira Knightly, Chris Hemsworth, Kate Hudson and Vin Diesel.
Tag’s cameras have also ventured behind the scenes of many iconic TV series, in Wales and beyond – Doctor Who, Pobol y Cwm, Match of the Day, Coronation Street, Eastenders, The X Factor, Emmerdale, Soccer AM, Rownd a Rownd, Gwaith Cartref, Casualty, A Question of Sport, Good Morning Britain, The One Show, Sky Sports News, BT Sport and Waterloo Road.
Earlier this year, Tag headed abroad for the first time when Owain joined Wales’ football team at their training camp in Portugal ahead of their historic journey at the Euro 2016 Championships.
Tag was first broadcast on the 4th of November 2011 with presenters Geraint Hardy and Elin Llwyd at the helm.
Each week, the Tag team review and chat about items ranging from fashion, celebrities, sport, cookery, music, gadgets and games.
Exclusive content is available on Tag’s website – s4c.cymru/tag – as well as items from the archive.
